Slang Music Group was invited by executives at The Leo Burnett Company to create a true life “sound-alike” of the classic “Green Onions” originally performed by Booker T and the MGs. Producer Vince Lawrence took great care in using similar instrumentation, microphones and amplification for the era, pairing each with top session players.

The music for this commercial needed to be comical but contemporary, whimsical but street and don’t forget to add one Asian cowboy singing “the Crawdad Song”! Genre melding is never a problem and yes you can get “cheese on that”! Fries?.
